A piece of lesson

The most important aspect of life that we mess up many times is the free will. After self consciousness, free will is something that feels scary to me. The consequences we face are the outcome of the choices we make.

Amongst all, the choices we make in our teenage years or the prime youth matters a lot. Apart from career, there's another important thing that we need to carefully analyze and choose. That is the people we are surrounded by. To say in common language, friends that surround you.

A teenage girl asked me, what kind of friends do you have? How do you choose them? It got me into a lot of thinking as I want my answer to answer her in the best possible way. This blog will be answering her question and also it'll help you too.

What kind of friends do I have?

I have the kind of friends who don't just accept my perfections but also bear my imperfections.

It's true that we humans aren't perfect. We can't say we do the right things all the time. We do commit mistakes and we do fail to follow our principles and righteousness. Therefore it's necessary to have friends who understand you and warn you when you're doing wrong. There are some kinds of friends who celebrate the downfall of their own friends. That's scary but still we get to see these kinds of friendships around the horizon. You need a friend who doesn't celebrate your wicked ways but tries to bring you out of it.

Small mistakes cause big setbacks in our life. A small piece of correct advice from a friend can stop you from setbacks. A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Secondly, I surround myself with wise people. Because, the way of a fool is right in his own eyes but a wise man listens to advice.

These two are majorly necessary for teenagers as the age is very much crazy and if you have the right friend, he/she will definitely not let you choose the wrong directions out of curiosity.

How do you choose them?

  1. Through relativity

That's the basic factor. Obviously you don't befriend a person who doesn't relate to your thoughts, dreams and purpose you have for your life.

  1. Through experiments.

Am I asking you to take your friend to the laboratory and perform experiments? Definitely not. You cannot do it. Don't do it.

The experiment I'm mentioning here is communication. Words are the best factors to describe a person's personality and overall behavior as words are reflections of the thoughts in one's mind. Thus, it's simple. I communicate and understand if that person is worthy enough to be my friend.

Moreover, God is our true friend. If you are spiritual you know it. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.

Darkness keeps you away from light and the light will keep you away from darkness. Likewise, the wicked people keep you away from righteousness and righteous people will keep you away from wickedness. Be careful with the company you accompany.

Lastly, don't depend on any friendships and relationships very much. In the spiritual aspect there's no better companion than God and to say it in simple language Be the best friend of your own life by being you whether alone or accompanied.

A friend will always love.
